"Winter" Banquet, Murder Clues, and General Catching Up

This is the first of a few "catch up posts."  A lot has been happening in the past month, and most of it has gone unrecorded.

1. Spring Banquet

Or should I say Winter Banquet.

Winter in Iowa would not go away this year.  Spring Banquet has usually been the Friday night of Missions Conference (in this case, that would have been April 5).  That did not happen this year, and instead it took place on May 3, the Friday before finals week.  It was nearly a month later than normal, but no one told that to the seasons!  May 2, the day before, Ankeny was getting snow.  *headsdesk*

But I'm getting ahead of myself.

On April 23 I returned from work to find this on the wall outside my door (and a friend from across the hall standing outside her door with a very knowing look on her face):

Attached was a strand of green yarn that wrapped around my doorknob a couple times and trailed down the hall.  At the end of the trail were Morgan and Beth, two friends who I had made plans to go with and who had decided to "officially" ask me. :)

Save for the weather, it was a wonderful evening of murder and intrigue.  The later was due to this year's theme of Clue.  The junior class did a wonderful job!

It was Miss Scarlet in the Study with the Candlestick,
if anyone was wondering.

Having been bitten by the Clue bug, afterward a group of six of us found the board game, crawled into the catacombs back at school, and played by flashlight.  It removed an item from my Faith bucket list, plus it was a lot of fun.
