You know you're up high when you have to look DOWN to see the top of the mountains.
Last Thursday, we went to the top of Pikes Peak. Although at 14,110 ft. it is not the highest of Colorado's mountains, it is the most well-known. Also, one is able to drive to the top instead of hiking (although that would be fun too).
It was beautiful. I have always loved the mountains, and I needed my mountain-fix before returning to Iowa in a couple weeks.
